News and Notes:

  • Friday Fun: The No. 13 Tenda Ford F-150 unloaded at Martinsville Speedway Friday where it took to the track for two practices. Johnny Sauter posted a sixth-place finish in the first practice and an eighth-place finish in final practice. The NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series (NGOTS) TruNorth 250 qualifying is slated for Saturday, March 23 at 10:40 a.m. on Fox Sport 1 and the Fox Sports 1 app.
  • Take Me Back to Martinsville 2018: Sauter will make his 23rd NGOTS start at the 0.536-mile “Paperclip” Saturday for the TruNorth 250 and the previous race winner at the track. In 22 previous starts, the four-time Martinsville winner has one pole (April 2011), has led 579 laps. Additionally, Sauter has nine top-five finishes, 12 top-10 finishes.
  • 2019 Stats: In three starts this season, Sauter has led 21 laps en route to one top-five finish (Atlanta) and two top-10 finishes (Las Vegas, Atlanta). He has a best start of 11th (Las Vegas), and he has an average start of 13.3, and an average finish of 11.0.
  • Race Rewind: Sauter and the No. 13 team worked throughout the race on the handling of the truck at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on March 2. Ultimately, the Tenda Ford finished the night in eighth.
