NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series driver Johnny Sauter will have a new primary sponsor on board his No. 13 Ford F-150 in 2020, the team announced in a release Wednesday.
Consumer electronics and accessories manufacturer Sakar International jumps on board the ThorSport Racing driver’s machine with a silver-and-grey paint scheme, a season-long collaboration between the team and company.
Sakar brands Vivitar and Altec Lansing will also be featured on Sauter’s truck. Vivitar specializes in a wide variety of consumer electronics that range from photography to fitness, while Altec Lansing focuses on audio products spanning speakers, headphones and more.
“I’m proud to represent the Sakar International brands on and off the track,” Sauter said in the release. “They make exceptional products that I know our fans will love. It’s pretty exciting to have a new partner enter the sport and I look forward to a great year ahead.”
Sauter has scored top-10 finishes in both starts this season so far. The 2016 series champion finished seventh at Daytona, following that up with a runner-up result at Las Vegas after starting on the pole.
“We here at Sakar are excited to enter this new partnership with Johnny Sauter and ThorSport Racing,” Milton Peters, Sakar’s Vice President of Merchandising, added. “With Johnny being one of the top NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series drivers, ThorSport’s 25 years of proven success and with the wide exposure and deep roots of NASCAR, we look forward to many victories on and off the racetrack.”
